It’s a well-maintained stretch of the former Ontario and Western Railroad, perfect for a leisurely walk with the family or brisk run or bike ride. You can actually access the rail trail from the backyard of the Farmhouse!
An old truss bridge, the Rosendale Trestle offers stunning views of the Rondout creek and valley. Follow signs in Rosendale for the trestle parking area and enjoy a splendid walk across the bridge and surrounding areas.

The uptown stockade district has shops and more restaurants and one of our favorite spots, Rough Draft & Books, which is both a full-service bookstore and coffee shop/bar.
