A favourite of la Garrotxa, this is one of the most beautiful and special forests in Catalonia.
La Fageda is the lowest altitude beech tree forest in the world on this latitude because it grows on a land that used to be a marsh, that was covered around 10.000 years ago by the lava of the last volcano the explode in la Garrotxa, el croscat.
