Or, about half that if you walk the shortcut by taking a right (due East) our from the condo driveway, past the gate to the other condos, down the slope, and through the soccer fields (also part of the park and free to play on when a game isn’t on).

Bears live among us in Whitefish!
Do get educated on best practices for being around bears before arriving in Whitefish.
Keep possible attractants (food, garbage, etc) locked up inside bear-resistant places. City ordinance prohibits putting garbage cans outside overnight. A fed bear is a dead bear!
If you will be hiking outside of the city, do carry bear spray.
