Sightseeing
A small island about a 2 minutes drive or 20 minute walk from our house, where you can take a free ferry ride by simply walking onto the ferry (without taking your car across to the island as fees apply). You can go koala spotting on the koala trail around the island.

Raymond Island Gippsland Lakes Reserve

Bullock Island in Lakes Entrance is popular spot for crabbing which is a fun activity for family and friends. You simply hook on some raw chicken onto crabbing nets and toss it far into the water while tied to the pier. It is usually better to go at night or in the evening.
This does require a fishing license that can be bought quickly online at https://vfa.vic.gov.au/recreational-fishing/fishing-licence. A 3-day fishing license cost $10.
The bottlenose dolphin, the Burrunan Dolphin, can also be spotted in January during the day.
