Sightseeing
This place is amazing. What I recommend for the adventurer is to go down to the canoe center. Hire a canoe. And it’s a 3 hour round trip that will bring you around this castle and down to killykeen forest park. An amazing experience for young and old. You could even bring a picnic and pull into the castle for a bite to eat. No kid would ever forget believe me as I’ve brought mine when they were just about fit to walk.

There is a moate and bailey directly facing the church which is an interesting an educational visit for any child.
Also there is a graveyard up from the church that holds the body of bishop bedel. Who is known for his translation of the bible.

Finger Stones
A wee piece of Cavan history. Finn McCuils fingers some would believe.
It’s only a few km from farnham view and is the most wonderful walk. You can do a big walk which is 10km but most people just walk up to the top and back. On a good day you can see 5 counties. It is believed that it was a monument built by a man waiting for the return of his son.

Food scene
Oak Room Restaurant
24 Bridge StFab food. High fine dining.
If you want the 5star spa or the private walks or sampling the food in the exquisite rosette award restaurant or a bit of Barr food. You can enjoy all of this while staying at Farnham view. The rate on the pool is a bit expensive but everything else is keeping in line with most hotels and bars. Lovely spot that you can walk to from the house.
