Activities

Winter or summer guests should take a chairlift ride (or hike) up to the summit of Big Mountain at Whitefish Resort. From there on a clear day, you will see the Canadian Rockies to the north and Glacier Park to the East. Local lore: For many years, Whitefish Mountain Resort was named Big Mountain. Locals still use this name. Look for bumper stickers that say “It’s Still Big Mountain to Me.”
