Beautiful ocean front location and great food! If you love oysters, this is the place to be! They also make the best Cesars in town! I also love their halibut fritters and their crab cakes! They take reso's and I would be happy to make you one as they are always busy and its hard to get in without one.

Black Bean Cafe has awesome breakfast sandwiches and the best muffins that I've ever had. They have a nice outdoor seating area and its an easy stroll down to the beach. It goes without saying they have great coffee. Their staff are always super helpful and friendly. They do make everything to order and it's usually busy, so be prepared to wait a few minutes for your order. Its always worth the wait! Their gluten free brownies are sooo good too!

It goes without saying they have great coffee. Their staff are always super helpful and friendly. They do make everything to order and it's usually busy, so be prepared to wait a few minutes for your order. Its always worth the wait! Their gluten free brownies are sooo good too!
If you are a sushi fan, Hiro's restaurant is the best choice in town. They have a beautiful spot in Lower Gibsons and have fantastic food and service. This is where all the locals go:)

This is our favorite place to go for soup! The portions are huge and often enough for two meals and the owners are so nice! Their dining area is small so we usually just order take out.

If you want good pub food, the Blackfish is your best choice. They also make really good breakfasts and have spicy ceasars. They also make their own hot sauce that is delicious!

I've only eaten there once but it was good. I usually go to Lunitia's because my friend owns it, but it's hard to get in...so Barefoot is a good second choice.

The Gumboot holds a special place in my heart for sure! If you are a vegetarian its a great place to go. The Buddha Bowl has been my favorite for over 20 years:) They also have great breakfasts. This is a relatively new place in Sechelt. Definitely has city vibes. Really good food and awesome drinks! They have one of the best chimichurri sauces that I've ever had and the have gigantic bulldog cocktails!

This is my shop, so I obviously think you should visit it! If you are an essential oil enthusiast this is definitely the place to come. I have over 100 different oils and almost 40 blends to choose from! I am also in the building where you will be staying!

This is one of the prettiest shops in Gibsons. She's located in the historic Molly's Lane. The owner has impeccable taste and her shop is filled with gorgeous vintage finds. If I'm ever in need of some retail therapy, Starlet is always my first stop! She's located very close to Lunita's and Smitty's so you can shop, drink and eat all within a 2 minute walk of each other and then head down to the beach.

If you are a foodie, the olive oil shop is a treat indeed! They have an incredible selection of flavors of oils and vinegar's that are available in full and travel sizes!

Best Beaches
This beach is a locals favorite and is great for swimming. Its pretty sandy so its easy to get in and out of the water. The water is usually warmer here than some of the other beaches. Parking can be tricky but besides that it's my favorite swimming beach to go to.

Bonnybrook has incredible sandbars, is great for swimming and is the beach to go to for sunset. There are some rocky spots so it's best to swim there during low tide. There is a beach esplanade so its easy walking for families with younger kids or with mobility limitations.

Roberts Creek is one of the nicest beaches around. Its got an a great sandbar when the tide is low. Its usually pretty busy in the summer though!

Secret Beach isn't actually that secret but its still a nice beach to go to. You can walk from here. It takes about half an hour to 45 min depending on your pace. If you turn left at the end of our driveway and take a right at O'Shea you will hit the trail. Stay on the main arteries of the trail and head down hill. Once you hit the first main Rd (Marine Dr) take a left, walk for about 5-7 minutes and Secret Beach will be on your right.

If you turn left at the end of our driveway and take a right at O'Shea you will hit the trail. Stay on the main arteries of the trail and head down hill. Once you hit the first main Rd (Marine Dr) take a left, walk for about 5-7 minutes and Secret Beach will be on your right.

Tapworks has the best deck in Gibsons. It's covered so you get incredible views without needing to worry about getting a sunburn! If you like craft beer and cider, these guys are a great place to go and have drinks and enjoy the beautiful views of Gibsons Harbor.

They have lots of green space for lounging and its a perfect destination for cyclists and families. They obviously have a great selection of craft beers to suit everyone's tastes.
Smitty's Oyster House has an extension of their restaurant there and serves tasty snacks to help soak up all the beer:)

These guys make absolutely delicious gin! They also make some pretty good vodkas (lain and flavored). My husband helped build the distillery so obviously think you should go check it out.

Banditry Cider is a cute place to go hang outside and have a drink. They have beautiful grounds that you can walk around. I've only been there once but I definitely enjoyed it!

Hikes & Trails
Mount Daniel is a hike...I'm not gonna lie...steep incline for a very very long time. Its a long windy drive to the trailhead and about an hour straight up hill. The views at the top are breath taking. You will be right up there with the eagles. They fly so closely directly overhead you can hear their wings cutting through the air.

Smugglers Cove is a nice leisurely hike along ocean side cliffs. It's a hike you can go on with the entire family. There are some precarious bits but it's not a difficult hike by any means. There is a light house at the end and the views are so beautiful the entire way. It's one of my favorites for sure!
Cliff Gilker is a nice place to hike if it's raining. It's all forest so I tend to only go if there is no sun or if I've already had too much! It's also very close to here, only a 10 minute drive and every trail is easy and well maintained. Oh...and there are waterfalls:)

There are a ton of mushrooms in there if you know where to look. I have gone to the waterfalls too and it was amazing. Definitely worth checking out!

Its best to time it so you arrive at the Narrows when the tides are changing. There will usually be some people rafting or doing some other brave water sports for your entertainment.
Inglis Trail is right at the end of Shaw Rd. You can't get any more convenient than that! Its an easy trail that leads down into Lower Gibsons. You can also get to that network of trails if you turn right when you get to the Seniors Living Facility that's about half a block away on Shaw. Its super nice in there and you can walk all the way down to Secret Beach. It takes about half an hour each way. Super close and easy!

I've been here once when my Dad was visiting. Its a nice place to go if you don't feel like going for a hike or to the beach. I did enjoy it although I don't remember much about it!

Henry Reed is the place to go for organic veggies and eggs. They have a locked cash box that is based on the honor system, so you need to bring cash. Do not steal from these people. I know them and they work so hard to provide an essential service to our community and we need them to stay in business and to keep growing us beautiful veggies and providing us with local eggs.
They sell out of eggs early everyday so get there before 10 am.
