The Grottoes of Hercules (also known as the Caves of Hercules) are situated 14 km west of the city of Tangier. This cave is a significant tourist attraction – something which often has a lot to do with its association with Greek mythology.
The caves are dating back to 2500 B.C.
The cave contains two entrances, one on the sea and is known by its form (a silhouette)that looked like the map of the African continent.
It is characterized by its location where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meets away some kilometers off the Rock of Gibraltar.

Its preferable to change your currency (GBP, EUR, USD etc) to the local currency and carry a minimum float of cash with you as in the Souks and many places only cash is accepted.
The other benefit of carrying local currency is that you will be saving money and not overpaying for items/services.

Local Taxis - Great Way to Get Around
The Local Green Coloured Taxis are a great way to get around the City of Tangier.
The city also provides Yellow Coloured Taxis which are for longer distances only, such as travelling to other near by Cities of Interest.
Always ask the price of travelling to your destination before getting on your Taxi and agree the set price especially with the Yellow Coloured ones. Green Taxis are controlled by a Counter-meter.
