This is a nice place to have a coffee on the terrace, but they also serve a typical Dutch breakfast, and great french toast called 'wentelteefje'.
This restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks) has that old Rotterdam feeling to it. If you want to see a typical old Dutch brown bar (bruin cafe) feeling, go here. Very nice staff and even in winter they almost always have a terrace.

Great coffee place, just won the price for best coffee in the country! It's located in the old police station and run by former juvenile delincents who where given a chance to change their lives, with succes. Great project and a great place.

This is the newest trendy shoppingstreet in town. It's about ten minutes walk from my home and takes you right into the heart of the city. I recommend this is the route to take, because the Nieuwe Binnenweg is full of nice places to shop for food, clothes, design, flowers, and have lunch or diner.

Check out this traditional old fashioned and now very trendy barbershop! Men wait in line outside for hours if neccessary to get a haircut here.
