Pool table is always free of charge, a tradition kept by the owners, who met there in a game of pool. Huge selections of drinks/spirits, great food -- the stuffed mushrooms and garlic fries are amazing. Live entertainment on weekends.

A great place for a burger and a beer, but also with a good variety of food. The decor is really unique, in the "old diner" style. Super friendly staff, and even dog-friendly (outside patio).

A paved hike with nice views, though be warned it has several switchbacks, is quite steep and has virtually no shade.

Bring comfy house slippers

It's easy to track mud and dirt in. Minimize that by removing your shoes outside, and wearing house slippers in the room. Also, the tile can be cold at night in winter.
