Walking and cycle tracks
Simbithi Eco-Estate boasts a diverse range of habitats. These include coastal forests, swamp forests, grassland, dams, streams and wetlands. We have a wide variety of fauna and flaura. Bushbuck, Duiker, Large-spotted Genet, Lesser Bush baby, Vervet Monkeys, Scrub Hare and a variety of Mongoose species are among the many types of wildlife which can be seen within the Estate. We have recently completed an upgrade on the walking trails on the Estate, all walking trails have been cut and boardwalks installed in areas where past access would have been impossible. These trails meander through the swamp forests, grasslands and the other habitats which are on the Estate.

WBHO is the shareholder of the development company, and created the adventure golf course after much deliberation to provide something, a little bit extra, for the families who so enjoy living at Simbithi. The adventure golf course is a 3 par, 18 hole course and will provide a lot of entertainment for all ages!!

Fishing in the many beautiful dams - Fishing is allowed on the Estate, but is only allowed on a catch and release basis and the dams are well stocked with selected species of tilapia and carp.

Dams, Indigenous Forests and Grasslands
A network of dams creates the opportunity for a range of wonderful and serene leisure activities.Bird life is already abundant and birdwatchers will be able to take advantage of secluded spots to observe and appreciate their interactions. The indigenous forest belts are home to a number of smaller buck species such as bushbuck and the rare blue and grey duiker. The grasslands play host to introduced species such as impala. Simbithi has a number of open spaces that will also allow for walks, runs and a general sense of living in an ecologically sensitive environment. With a par of 60, made up of thirteen par 3's, four par 4's and one par 5, you might be forgiven for anticipating this golf course as a lesser challenge, but that will be at your peril! At Simbithi, you can play a full - and testing - 18 holes using every club in your bag. We're very proud of our distinctive 18-hole course in the heart of Simbithi Eco-Estate, between Ballito and Salt Rock on KwaZulu Natal's Indian Ocean coast and Simbithi Country Club was voted the Volvo 5 Star Golf Experience (Compleat Golfer) in 2012.

Gym - There is a very small gym equipped with weights machine, rowing machine, cycling machines, and treadmill for the use of homeowners only and is access controlled. This gym is located between the pool and tennis courts at Simbithi Country Club with change rooms adjoining in the studio room.

Golf Pro Shop - A fully stocked pro-shop is located at the top of the stairs on the right hand side as you enter the country club. This shop is stocked with all the top brands in South Africa and will cater for all your golfing needs.

Beaches
Within Simbithi Eco Estate we have dedicated a parking area to allow for beach access to Thompson's Bay beach. You can park your car or golf cart at the turnstile gate and walk about 400m to Thompson's Bay beach (a small walk for the more active!)
Turn left at the top of Sicklebush Lane at the stop street. Drive all the way down the hill to the bottom turnstile. You can exit and entrance through this with your fingerprints. Cars are safely guarded within Simbithi Eco Estate.

The Fig Tree Restaurant - The beautiful Fig Tree Restaurant, named after the fig tree which is situated in the centre of the clubhouse, has views of the golf course and specifically of the 18th hole and is a wonderful venue to come and relax and get away from it all. A large deck situated under the trees affords "al fresco" dining and we offer both a terrace menu for the day and a more formal menu for evening dining. Recently refurbished, this wonderful restaurant is a real jewel on the North Coast

The Drop Zone - The Drop Zone pub is situated in the old pro-shop adjacent to the fig tree restaurant and offers a full bar with cocktail tables, comfortable seating and TV to watch all the sporting events taking place.
