Imposing, on the waterfront of Valbom, is the building where the Gramido Convention was signed in 1847, a document that ended the wars between liberals and absolutists and the popular uprisings that became known as Maria da Fonte and Patuleia. The building, classified as Property of Public Interest since 2002, is an 18th century manor house that, during the 19th century, was a grain warehouse, sold by "Cazas Brancas", the owners of the house.

Located on the right bank of the Douro River, 3 km from its mouth, the Freixo Marina seeks to serve all those who use this magnificent Douro River, whether for leisure, work, tourism, sport or simply contemplation.
Located on the first plane of the river, the Marina has a winch up to 10 tons, an access ramp to the water, a place for 76 boats up to 16 meters long, berths for boats up to 100 meters, changing rooms with hot water, as well as a cafeteria and restaurant open to the public and technical support for all types of boats.
