The second oldest Stockmann department store in Finland was opened in 1957. In March 1965, the extension part of the corner of Kuninkaankatu and Kauppakatu was opened. The new Corner Building was connected to the original Kant Building by an underground tunnel. In 1981, the department store moved to its current location at the end of Hämeenkatu railway station. With the expansion started in 2012, the department store grew by 4,000 square meters and now offers an even wider selection of internationally known brands as well as versatile departments of Stockmann's partners.

A historic lookout tower, where excellent donuts are made! There are also great views from Pyynikki's ridge and Pispala's historic residential area is also right next door.
