Sight seeing
Directly through the famous Lyttelton tunnel is the Lyttelton port where you can find a range of alternative shops and cafes with a variety of food choices. You can drive around the Penninsula and view some magnificent beaches and stunning scenery
This fantastic activity is 2 minutes away. You can choose to walk up and take the Gondola down or the other way around. There is a cafe/restaurant up the top where you can find some good food. It also over looks the stunning Banks Penninsula.

If you are quite fit and looking for a challenging walk that is quite steep instead of driving through the tunnel you can walk up and over the bridle path walkway. This is where the first four ships came into port in 1850s and families walked over wearing their Victorian attire and carrying all their belongings with no idea what to expect.
