The Vigeland Park is the world's largest sculpture park made by a single artist, and is one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions. The park is open to visitors all year round and it's a great place to relax from the busy city when on holiday.
There are several restaurants in the area (mostly open in summer time) but be aware that they are a bit pricy.

Oslo is a place to combine nature and art in one experience. On weekends throughout the year and every day in summer there is an exhibition at Hovedøya - or the main island. Take a ferry (10 min walk from my place) and in about another 10 minutes you'll be in place.
There is an art gallery, an old monastery and kilometres of wild and not so wild beaches. A unique experience guaranteed!

Cozy and relaxing place to eat and have some coffee with cakes (oh, carrot cake is a treat!) right next to the City Hall. Menu contains of vegetarian dishes, soups and lots of cakes (incl gluten-free)

One of the main attractions of Oslo - the Vigeland park is only 20-25 minute walk away (or 7 min by tram from Solli plass). The park is a must see activity any time of the year. Vigeland created several hundreds of sculptures. Get familiar with the circle of life (the fountain) or just take a walk alone the alleys.
It is allowed to have a picnic in the park as well.
It is also possible to combine the park visit with a tennis game or swimming in the pool in summer time, and skating in winter time.
