After a day of exploring, San Lucas offers a relaxing retreat from the noisy and sometimes crowded nature of Antigua for those that enjoy the quiet and a bit more privacy.

Ciudad Cayalá
If you love the city, I can't recommend Cayalá enough. It's a high end outdoor shopping center with world cuisine, as well as bistros, great coffee selections such as Starbucks Guatemala, in addition to its exclusive shopping offerings encapsulated in gorgeous Italian and Colonial influenced architecture.
Safe enough for tourists in the city, it's about a 40 minute drive from San Lucas, but it depends on traffic. Be sure to consult Waze (it's the navigation app locals use) for the best route and time estimates.
