This beautiful woodland park features five kilometres of forest trails, unique wooden bridges spanning foaming creeks, a multitude of waterfalls, and a wheelchair accessible trail with a viewing platform. The park also has a grass playfield, two baseball diamonds and a playground. The sports field has lights for night time use. There are picnic sites and washroom facilities. The park has an on-site caretaker. Dogs are allowed off leash as long as they are friendly

This massive lake has room for all, and the possibilities are endless. A proper boat launch sets you up for water-skiing, tubing, or simply cruising in your motorized craft – please be mindful of other lake users and adhere to posted speed limits. Kayak and SUP rentals are also available, or bring your own and take off from either the boat launch or nearby Dan Bosch Park. Ample parking can be found at Dan Bosch Park, and quick walk down a wide dirt path finds you at a nice sandy beach and swimming area – perfect for kids and suntanning adults. With endless shoreline to explore and some of the warmest water around, you may want to bring extra sunscreen and plan to stay a while.

This massive lake has room for all, and the possibilities are endless. A proper boat launch sets you up for water-skiing, tubing, or simply cruising in your motorized craft – please be mindful of other lake users and adhere to posted speed limits. Kayak and SUP rentals are also available, or bring your own and take off from either the boat launch or nearby Dan Bosch Park. Ample parking can be found at Dan Bosch Park, and quick walk down a wide dirt path finds you at a nice sandy beach and swimming area – perfect for kids and suntanning adults. Buccaneer Bay Marine Park is the spot for visitors, enjoy a scenic ocean tour by water taxi from Secret Cove Marina to North Thormanby Island. Walk miles along the pristine shoreline, swim the tranquil warm waters, or savour a delicious picnic lunch while observing the array of birds and botany. When the tide is low it is possible to walk to South Thormanby, while exploring tidal pools and a variety of colourful marine life. Boaters will also find haven at this little island paradise. The large sheltered bay provides safe anchorage in most summer conditions. Shoreline is accessible by dingy. Want to throw a few casts? Be sure to pick up your fishing license beforehand. Thormanby also makes for an excellent paddling day trip. Experienced sea kayakers can launch from Secret Cove & circumnavigate the island. Check with one of our local outfitters for rentals and tours, & be sure to check the tide tables and current information as navigating Welcome Pass can be a bit tricky.

Impressive second growth forest trails leading to spectacular views of Howe Sound, the North Shore mountains, Keats, Gambier and Bowen Islands, Gibsons and Georgia Strait. The staircase located on the east side of Soames Hill (green trail) has 434 steps and over 333 feet of railing. You will be rewarded with a spectacular view at the top. 4.2 km of trails weave through Soames Hill. Pleasant footpaths lead throughout the park and to the top of Soames Hill. There are three view sites (Gibsons, Keats Is. and Bowen Is.). The trail allows off leash dogs. It is fairly difficult to climb the stairs so might be challenging for kids and adults with mobility issues
