Fort Walton is small but there are some great places to check out.
The owners are friends and go to my church but it's a relaxing mom and pop coffee shop serving Lucky Goat coffee.
I recommend the breakfast tacos!

My top spots in Destin, FL. Also, avoid the Harborwalk it's a tourist trap. If you must go park behind McGuire's across the street to save 10 dollars for parking.
I recommend their burgers or steak. The Rueben Egg Rolls and Bean Soup are good. They brew their own beer and root beer. They also have a famous drink called the 'Irish Wake'. I recommend sharing or having a DD. They also have live music at night.
The wait is usually long so either plan for a few hour wait (typically they tell you twice the actual wait time) or you can go between 4-5:30 or after 8. Sometimes upstairs has their own host that can save you time to wait.

An experience for everyone but it has gotten pretty crazy as of late. If you know how to boat you can rent a pontoon boat or they have boats that ferry you out there now. It's a fun sandbar right by the Destin Bridge. They have bars, food, and concerts now. Be sure to check the weather and water conditions if you go.
