If you are a wine person and fancy some good Hungarian wine (because we do have but don't even try to buy in the supermarkets), here's a list of places for you from us, wine lovers!
Definitely the best wine bar in Budapest. It's very
popular so do book a table if you want to go there
after 7 PM. Only Hungarian wines from small wineries,
great selection and very good staff to tell you about the
drinks. Also serve great food, snacks, tapas.

Another great wine bar, romantic, rustic brick walls,
lovely jazz music in the evenings. Recommended to
book ahead especially for more than 2-3 people.

I don't even try to add not even my favourites, there are so many in the neighbourhood.... so this is just a random selection.
A very friendly place that attracts Budapest's
intellectuals (as well). Also notable the fantastic rum and whiskey selection (more than 100 types each!).

THE ruin pub, the mother of all, the first one that
brought life to the district and is ever changing. A must
see at least once. Very different from the afternoon chill
time to the evening party scene so I suggest visit both times to see the difference (note: may be queue in the evenings, especially weekends).
Walk in and feel like Alice in Wonderland!
Also, they have a farmers market on Sundays 9-14!

A really interesting historical building connecting two streets (Kiraly and Dob) It has numerous courtyards and today it houses dozens of bars, eateries, karaoke places, food and drinks everywhere! A very lively place usually till late.

The party district is unsurprisingly about partying and that is what you can do till morning.... countless options, here's a few.
One of the larger ruin bars, several floors, various bars and dance floors, get lost till the wee hours!

There are a huge number of restaurants and other food places around from holes in the wall to fancier places, one thing is for sure you won't stay hungry any time of the day.
An open air yard with loads of food trucks - good street food right next to Szimpla, from Hungarian specialties to Italian, Japanese vegan, you name it. An a bar of course.

One of the very few LARGE breakfast places for bigger groups. Still can be busy since food is great just like the atmosphere. Reasonable prices, great breakfast options and VERY very good coffee from their own roasted beans!
