Anywhere from breakfast to lunch time, either the bar right in front of the apartment (EA, the owner's name is Paco) or the one around the corner when you go out to the right (ALPA) are great local bars where you can have traditional tapas. The bars such as EA and ALPA in Valencia serve lunch (1.30pm to 3.30pm aprox) in what is called "Menu del día" a "daily menu" that for less than 10 euro gets you 2 courses, bread, drink and dessert or coffe. It is homemade food. In the beach area, its worth to stop by Casa Montaña https://www.emilianobodega.com/ And if you want to experience Paella in the best way possible, book a cooking experience at https://escueladearrocesypaellas.com/ preferably on a weekday or saturday and the morning or mid-day sessions, which include a visit to the market to buy the ingredients.
