This is one of those places where you see how people lived 100 or so years ago and think ...'oh my god, how they they survive without a cell phone, washing machine and indoor plumbing!'. Yep, it makes you appreciate what we have.
They also have an annual Highland Games, Scottish games in summer (see highlandgames.com). This is where you can see men (and maybe women too) tossing what look like small telephone poles, called a Caber Toss. Yeah ... I know, but remember hundreds of years ago they didn't have TV's, video games, or cars, or ... well a bunch of fun stuff, so ... they made up these games .. and they're fun to watch.

This is another super store, with pharmacy, groceries, and all sorts of things. It's in an area with a lot of other stores nearby, including: Home Depot, Costco, sporting goods, Starbucks, etc..

This is a good gas station, they have good prices, usually better than the Shell at 7 Mile & Middlebelt.
If you have a Costco membership, there's one at I-96 & Middlebelt, by the Meijer I noted. There's also a Mobil gas station 1 mile east of this BP station, they had good gas prices too, though I haven't been there is a while.

There are two locations, almost directly across the street from each other, owned by same people. If you're looking for an affordable, not fancy breakfast, lunch, etc., this is good.

This is a nice place, a little pricey, but good steaks, etc.. Call ahead & ask how long the wait, as you may want to make a reservation.

I'm a fan, I like their Ice Capp's. They also sell food, donuts, muffins, cookies, etc.. Cheaper than Starbucks. There are 3 locations by me, this one, another on 5 Mile east of Merriman and a third south of 6 Mile on Middlebelt.
We have other coffee shops in the area, I won't link all of them, but west of Farmington on 7 Mile is Biggby Coffee. Dunkin Donuts south of 7 Mile, on Middlebelt.

A little north of there are a bunch of stores on both sides of the street, if you want to do some shopping, such as: Costco, Target, Kohl's, Meijer, Best Buy (north of 8 Mile), Taco Bell, etc..

This is one of those laser tag type places. In the same complex is a go cart place and I think some other kid friendly attractions.

It's a zoo .. you look at the animals ... and they look back at you. We think they act silly, and they probably think the same of us. :-)

Rotary Park
This park is a bit more of a drive, but they have a biking, walking, jogging, paved trail around the park, which is around a lake. Picnic areas, beach, and more. It's a real nice park if you want. There's a fee to enter the park.
