It's a UNESCO Heritage Site (since 2003!), incredibly panoramic and well preserved, encompassing 21 buildings fully frescoed and embellished with multicolored terracotta statues dating, all dating back mainly to the 17th century! The site is surrounded by a Nature Reserve in which you can stroll and relax, enjoying the breathtaking view of Lake Orta. You can reach it from Orta car-parking in 20 minutes on foot.

The Mottarone is a 1491 metre high mount deviding Lake Orta from Lake Maggiore. You can reach its summit in around 35 minutes from home, and only in very clear and sunny days you'll enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding area, up to Milan!! Enchanting!
