PIZZA!!! cheap and easy this is one of the areas best pizza joints. you wont get much ambiance but you will get 5 toppings and a fresh pizza for 1490 Huf. Enjoy

This should and hopefully will be your neighborhood coffee shop! run by two lovly local woman ( who speak great english) this is a tiny place with great coffee and great breakfasts for a ridiculous price! early bird specials until 10:00 AM and other changing menu items, you can really feel your Money is helping out the local community here.

For sale is well known in most guide books and for good reason, cheap menu massive portions and good food make it a attraction for many visitors in budapest. The portions in truly gigantic so dont by afraid to share, and yes it is ok to throw the peanut shells on the floor. Enjoy

Its right outside your doorstep! look for the big tree across the street and the fence with vones over it. this is one of Budapest's first ruin bars ( outdating szimpla). with a chill local atmosphere this can be a great place to start your evening before diving into the sometimes over crowded Jewish quarter. cheap beer and cheap food. its especially nice in summer.

One of my favorite bars in town. A real local crowd of artists, writers and musician. very casual atmosphere with cheap drinks and some pretty snacks. a few times a week they will have some live music- hard to know exactly when so you might just need to go there and see :)

Thermal bath house. smaller the the more well known Gellert and Szechenyi, Rudas baths are by far the best for a real sauna and steam experience in my opinion. cleaner and with a more modern look and of course you cant forget the outdoor pool over looking the danube. Go when its cold outside.

Mai Mano house is a beautiful building on Nagymezzo street. in it you can find a photography gallery, a library and a cozy caffe. nice to sit out side on sunny days after a quick cultural fix

This is by far budapests most beautiful park. It has a running track around it (5K) for you joggers. Many green patches of grass, tall trees and gorciously maintained flowers. walk all the way to the end to see the japanise garden ( especially in autum with the leaves changeing). for kids ( also those in spirit) there is a small petting zoo towrds the middle of the island. Tip: in the spring and summer months the musical fountine is working in the entrance to the park. there is a schedule listed with the time for every show, its fun and will even the most sarcastic person pull out a smile.
