Absolutely the best restaurant around but you often need to make reservations a week or two in advance. It is so. good. Great for special occasions and foodies! This is by far our favorite restaurant.

This is definitely a tourist attraction, but it is 3 miles from our place (about 5 minutes), so we sometimes stop here in the morning when they first open (at 8 am) to grab warm cider donuts and a coffee or hot cider. If you're up before the rest of your crew, run down to grab some donuts and you'll be everyone's best friend! You can also watch cider being made here and purchase maple syrup and other VT products.

3600 Waterbury-Stowe RdThis is definitely a tourist attraction, but it is 3 miles from our place (about 5 minutes), so we sometimes stop here in the morning when they first open (at 8 am) to grab warm cider donuts and a coffee or hot cider. If you're up before the rest of your crew, run down to grab some donuts and you'll be everyone's best friend! You can also watch cider being made here and purchase maple syrup and other VT products.

We don't go here that often, as there are so many great local spots, but if you need a large grocery store, this is your place. A little further out of the way is Village Market in downtown Waterbury, which I would say is a more of a local's grocery store.

This is definitely a bit out of the way, but is a fun night outing and a great way to check out the Valley. You can watch an indie movie while sipping a cocktail or glass of wine and get a great dinner right after in the same building. It is fun and funky and is our favorite "date night" spot, although it is about 35 mins. from our house.

Parks & Nature
We live at the base of Mt. Hunger and you can walk (or a short drive if you know you'll be tired at the end) to the popular trail head on our road. The views are stunning and if you want to do something different, follow signs to White Rock when you near the top for a just-as-beautiful views with fewer crowds.

This is one of the shorter hikes in the Stowe area and is very close to our house. Great views with not-as-much effort as Mansfield, the Hump or Hunger, although it is definitely a hike (not a walk!).

This is one of our favorite activities, but it is a bit of a drive from where we live. It is near Lake Willoghby (which is gorgeous) so you can make a day trip out of it. Bread and Puppet is hard to describe...bring a picnic and an open mind and you won't be disappointed (unless you lean towards the right..). Make sure you check out the museum and shop before the show!
