Live music for lunch on a sunday, Anjuna makes you feel like you're in the Caribbean! A bit of a celeb hangout, it's not unusual to see Bono on the drums here (he has a house on the same beach) and come 6pm, everyone is dancing on the tables! Sunday lunch is the best day for fun and evenings for a more romantic time.

Home to the ruling house of Grimaldi since 1297, the palace lies on top of the rock (le rocher) in Monaco. At 11.55am everyday, the changing of the guard happens and is well worth a look for the fanfare and pagentry. The old town of Monaco lies up here too and its narrow streets are very charming to stroll around. Lots of steps up to the rock though, wear comfy shoes!

Dinner is only okay, it's more about being seen, but the bar area and dancefloor are great fun. If you splurge on a table, the chairs are for dancing on!

Not easy to get to - it's about a 30 minute walk from the car park at the beach below, but the walk is really amazing, not to mention the beach when you get to it.

When you leave the apartment on the street level, take a right and walk for 5 minutes. There you will find a lovely boulangerie and 50 mètres further a small supermarket called Casino. The main supermarket is Carrefour in monaco.
