Drinks & Nightlife

Very cool hidden bar (there are no signs, just the security guard outside and sometimes a line of people waiting to go in). Decorated like the wild west America with stuffed animal trophy heads on the walls. Lots of different whiskies and yummy cocktails.

Very close to home so just a short stumble back after a night of drinks & dancing. Tiki Bar, decorated in tropical island style (woven walls / dance floor with fish decorations on the ceiling). DJ music is a mix of hip hop, R&B. No cover charge to get in. Try the pina colada served in a real pineapple or a coconut shell. https://www.facebook.com/thecliffdive/

Sightseeing

Beautiful & iconic walk that will take you along famous & beautiful beaches. Be sure to bring your swimmers if the weather is good so you can have a swim to cool down. You can catch a bus to Bondi Beach or Coogee Beach & do the walk (takes 2-3 hours) or you can walk a shorter distance by stopping instead at one of the beaches in between. A beautiful beach to swim at is Bronte beach (has a sea water pool and also an area with less waves that's good for kids or those who just like to sit in the water at the beach) https://www.sydneycoastwalks.com.au/bondi-to-coogee-walk/ See public transport trip planner https://transportnsw.info/trip#/

Requires a full day but is worth it if you have time. You'll be able to see the iconic 3 sisters (rock formations) and do some great bush walks. http://www.sydney.com/things-to-do/family-holidays/day-trips/blue-mountains

Catch a ferry from Circular Quay or King Street Wharf to Milson's Point to take great pictures of the Harbour Bridge with the Opera House in the background. You can also go to Luna Park for amusement rides or just wander around the olden style fun park. There's also some nice restaurants / cafes with views that you can enjoy there. If you have energy you can also walk back over the Sydney Harbour Bridge towards the city. In addition you can do the Lavender Bar to Kirribilli Harbourside walk http://www.weekendnotes.com/lavender-bay-to-kirribilli-harbourside-walk/ http://www.weekendnotes.com/sydney-kids-walk-across-harbour-bridge/ http://www.weekendnotes.com/luna-park-sydney/

To see fantastic views on top of one of Sydney's icon in the heart of the city. Another more relaxing alternative is to have a drink & some snacks at the bar or a meal at the restaurant while still being able to look across the city as the place revolves around 360 degrees to see all the city. You can do this after you go shopping in the city's main shopping area (called Pitt Street Mall but is actually a series of shopping centres next to each other) The bar doesn't take reservations and may require a bit of a wait during busy periods (around 4-7pm) https://www.360dining.com.au/ https://www.sydneytowereye.com.au/
