Pompei is a huge archeological site, I suggest to leave early in the morining by 9H00 I would suggest: you go to Vanvitelli and take the metro back to Garibaldi (the train station), from there you look of a local train called CIRCUMVESUVIANA that stops at POMPEI SCAVI and you're there. Ask when is the last train running back they are not frequent. Be careful 'cause CIRCUMVESUVIANA is not always a safe train (nothing dramatic but little pickpocketing can arrive, keep your cameras in a backpack and do not show it and keep your backpack always with you... sorry to tell this, I know it is not nice, but better to know it)... Pompei is a wide archeological town to enjoy with a guided tour and once you're inside there are no facilities for tourists (toilets yes but no kiosks) so better to bring water and a snack, if it is sunny wear also a sunscreen...

The love island, easy to reach from the port
To go to Capri once again early leave in the morning, take the FUNICULAR from Piazza Fuga (5 minutes walk from home) in 5 minutes you get off at the last stop in Piazzetta Augusteo (ticket is 1 euro). From there cross the road and walk down to the see (you'll see the sea!!!) and reach the Port ask for MOLO BEVERELLO. Here you'll find different ticket offices with different kind of ships to the island, I suggest to take the CAREMA FERRYBOAT (nicer, you can sit at the topo in the open air, and it is much cheeper) it will take you to Capri in about 45'.... Once again if you bay the return ticket in advance ask when is the last ferry leaving the island (it should be around 6pm) otherwise there are fast boats for the return, but once again ask when is the last one leaving (i guess the latest is at 7.pm otherwise you risk to remain on the island).... Capri is a bit expensive and if you want to keep on a low budget bring something to eat with you... I would invest money to take the tour to the GROTTA AZZURRA....
