This is a restaurant/bar located close to The State Capital. It has really amazing food for a bar and it is very nice inside. It is a great place to go watch sports and get a good meal.

This is on the 30th floor of the Wyndham city center and has a great view of Springfield, IL. It not the best steak in Springfield but the ambiance more than makes up for it.

This little tucked away hole in the wall has some amazing asian fusion cuisine. It is on the west side of town but worth the trip. From there you can walk over to Pease's at Bunn Gourmet and get some good dessert and coffee.

This is place is hands down the best coffee shop in Springfield, IL. First off the coffee is outstanding plus the decor is well tied together. They often have live music on the terrace (check schedule), their staff is very friendly, and their desserts are amazing. Two local businesses, Bunn and Pease's, teamed up to create a must visit experience in Springfield, IL.

It is a really nice irish pub style bar with great woodwork and upstairs they have pool and a gaming room with skee ball and air hockey. It gets busy later on the weekends.

This is my favorite bar in Springfield. It is beautiful inside with high antique ceilings, brick walls, and beautiful woodwork. This bar is more crowded on the weekend afternoons or when there is a farmers market downtown than at nights. I love going in for bloody marys on the weekend afternoons.

This bar is more crowded on the weekend afternoons or when there is a farmers market downtown than at nights. I love going in for bloody marys on the weekend afternoons.
This is my favorite dive bar and one of the best place to go for local live music. They have a nice patio summer and winter and usually have live music several times a week. It is usually busy during happy hour after work, weekend nights, and sunday afternoons. They have amazing free chili on Sundays during football season.

Essentials
This is the closest thing we have to a Whole Foods in Springfield and a favorite grocery store among the young professionals. Its not as cheap as Walmart but the selection is much better.

Entertainment & Activities
This water park is a great summer destination. It has paddle boats, bumper boats, go carts, mini-golf, and a wide variety of water rides. If you are too grown up for those things there is always the lazy river and the driving range.
