The fried pastry, slightly crispier and chewier than a doughnut and with no hole, is known as a cuisine of Hawaii. These malasadas are perfect, especially warm when you first pick them up at the store and even when they get cold, they're still amazing sugary snacks.

f you’re looking for a healthy breakfast option, it’s hard to go wrong with this super food from Brazil. If you haven’t tried one before, an acai bowl is like a really thick smoothie topped with oatmeal and fruits and honey. For a great acai bowl, we recommend the Tropical Tribe.

It’s not the typical barbecued chicken, but smoked with Hawaiian kiawe wood, that intensifies the flavor. Topped off with a side of their popular pineapple coleslaw. Note that they are only open on weekends.

What's not to love about this place!? It's fun, loud and colorful, and the sales are really good. I love the selection of seafood (unagi often is on sale here), poke (the fresh poke is REALLY yummy and often a good price!), asian items (from rows of rice and asian sauces to hot pot lobster balls, to frozen beef bowls and dumplings and pastas), large alcohol selection (and good rotation of alcohol on sale!) and local souvenier items - you can find anything you may need here!
