There is a lot of really good Vietnamese places in town, but this is my favorite. Hundreds of things on the menu. I recommend salt & pepper lobster, black bean clams, broken rice dishes & Pho!

Great views of San Diego and the coast. Nice hiking trails. Park for free at the top of the hill across the street from the golf course and park at the Biomedical center or Univ. Take back entrance.

Check out a decommissioned aircraft carrier and some military planes. I've never been, but people seem to like the cafe there as well. Nice view of the bay, Coronado, and downtown.

It's called "New", but still 100+ yrs old. Top gun filmed here. Check out the tide pools if its low tide. If its clear, you can see the Coronado Islands. That's in Mexico!
