Drinks & Nightlife

This is my 'regular' hangout. It has really excellent food for a bar and it's perhaps one of the best Bourbon lists in town. If the Blazers or Timers are playing it's quite busy! Try the Elk Burger. It's terrific.

A real speakeasy kind of place that caters to the wine/restaurant trade. Great wine list with not your usual suspects on the list! You'll have to look for this place as it's down a short alley and kinda underground, a flight of stairs down to the entrance.

Portland is overrun with Farmer's markets in all the various neighborhoods but this is the crown jewel. On Saturdays from early spring on thru October you can lose yourself in this maze of vendor stalls.

One of the long time establishments on the Portland food scene. They moved to this location about 8 years ago and for good reason. One of the only open air 'roof top' restaurants that look over the west hills. It's gets very busy at sunset so get there early! Plus, they grow/farm their own produce from their roof.

A fabulous Peruvian restaurant tucked away in my neighborhood. Truly is fabulous but it's small. Make reservations if you want to go! It's still kinda off the radar of the 'food scene' in PDX but won't be for long...

Parks & Nature

This park is amazing for most any type of outdoor activity you may want to do - hiking, running, mountain biking or just a stroll. One of the more popular routes is the Wildwood Trail or you can do a more strenuous hike up to Pittock Mansion which has great city views.
