If you've never had a juicy lucy burger you must go. If you have, but haven't been here you also must go. There is usually a wait and it's a very casual place - almost divey - but that's it's charm.

A good and close coffee shop. I prefer Five Watt which is nearby too, but this is a good option as well, and easily walkable from the house.

Minneapolis is known for it's lakes right in the city, with running/walking and biking paths that connect them all, thanks to city law that requires all waterfronts are accessible to the public. Lake Harriet is the closest to the house, has two beach areas, and the Lake Harriet bandshell where you can catch outdoor music and movies during the summer. It's a great spot for about a 2.5 mile run, or longer if you take the trails that connect to Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles.
