Good local and Irish craft shops and a nice restaurant/cafe upstairs. Also the national craft gallery of Ireland is based there along with some good craft makers and galleries.

The Smithwicks experience is worth a visit, it was the heart of Kilkenny once but there is no longer any brewing taking place on the premises.

One of the oldest buildings in Kilkenny, owned by the Rothe family who were one of the powerful families of Kilkenny, other famous families were the Shee's, the Archers and the Langtons.

This is also know as the Tourist office, when there ask about it's history, it's a beautiful building!

If you head down by here towards the Castle you can follow the road around over the small footbridge and back the board walk into town, you'll pop back out at Madlin Street if you follow the river!
