It's very reasonably priced good food. They do good cooked breakfasts. The Rio Grande Breakfast will keep you going all day (full Scottish breakfast). They also have a nice and lunch and dinner menu.

Just down the road from the flat and they make lovely food. For breakfast, I particularly recommend their Eggs Royale (smoked salmon Eggs Benedict). Delicious.

Very nice bar experience here. It's an old church that's been renovated to a high standard. One of the few bars in the West End open until 3am.

Downstairs on Mondays from 8:30pm there is Gerry Lyon's famous open mic night. You get to hear some really great performers for free! Upstairs there's a very popular bar with an indie feel, near the city centre. Easiest way to get there is either the train from Partick to Charing cross (one stop, £1.90 return), or a private taxi (about £6) 0044 141 557 1110.

WEST Brewery
15 Binnie PlReally good beers in here, good food too.
You really feel like you're going back in time in The Laurieston. It's a really good pub that pours a really good pint, and you're in the friendly company of some older Glaswegians, which adds to the charm. Just get the underground from Kelvinhall to Bridge Street.
