The BEST sandwiches in Shell and Pismo! A nice local family run the place and take pride in their art. We suggest the chimichurri! There are just a few tables to eat inside and 1 outside. But, you can take them to go and head to Eldwayen Park, Dinosaur Caves or Spyglass Park; all of which have picnic tables and are ocean front. If you are wanting a adult refreshing beverage, pop into the market right next door or head to Shell Beach Liquor a few blocks south on Shell Beach Road for a bigger selection.

Also a plus that they do breakfast all day! Just beer and wine here, but worth the trip! They have an outdoor, heated patio that sometimes does live music on the weekend nights.
If you want anything on tap, this is the place to go. They have a good menu with lots of weird options to enjoy....like the Elvis burger...peanut butter?!? Our son says it's good! They have a huge selection of beers on tap and multiple TV's with sports going all the time. In addition to the dining room, they have a small outdoor patio with TV and fire pits.

This is a view only beach, but breathtaking and the photo opportunities are world famous! This is less than an hour drive from Shell Beach along Highway 1. Stop in the very small town of Harmony for locally made hand-blown glass and pottery. Then head back to Cambria for shopping and lunch.

This is the closest grocery store and by far the friendliest. They have a very nice deli for sandwiches, ready made hot food, fresh salad bar, and soups. You can even get the famous Splash Cafe Clam Chowder to-go and hot...without the long lines! They have a lot of local items and the staff is very helpful.
