St. Hanshaugen is the name of the area, which translates to "The hill of St. Hans". The park is placed on the top of the hill, with a great view of the city center and fjord. There is a bar almost at the top, called Utendørs (translates to Outdoors).

Sofienbergparken is just a block away from the apartment, so I often refer to it as "my garden". It's large, flat, and great for hanging out on a sunny day. The music festival Picnic in the Park is hosted here in June every year.
