We absolutely loved renting canoes and kayaks here, an easy drive from the cabin! Much closer than New River State Park, and Galax has a quaint downtown to explore before or after the river.

Explore some local flavor and music in our sweet town of Sparta, NC.
One of our most favorite places to eat and enjoy some live music while in Sparta, just a 13 mile drive from the cabin. Sparta is a sleepy town during the week, but Muddy Creek Cafe comes to life on Thursday evenings with open mic night! Followed by music venues throughout the weekend.
