This quirky Mexican place is just a block away and has fantastic tamales that can be eaten on-site or taken to go to heat up later. Filling, tasty, great variety and inexpensive although the hours are variable.

This Starbucks is at the Starbucks corporate headquarters and is one of their "reserve" locations with nice seating options, a full bar with interesting drinks, and excellent food options including wood-fired pizza, great Italian desserts, soups and all manner of fresh salads. Not your normal Starbucks.

This park is very close by and is a gem in the summer. great swimming access on both the north and south shores, lovely bike and walking trails around the perimeter, and stellar views of mount rainier from the south on clear days. Gets very popular in the summertime with the boating community.

It's fun to walk and ride esp on a clear day with great views of rainier and the ocean, depending on your direction. Although you are in the city you can feel like you are alone in a big field in parts.

Chief Sealth TrailThis trail traverses just south of the house and goes for miles all the way down to lake Washington to the SE. It's fun to walk and ride esp on a clear day with great views of rainier and the ocean, depending on your direction. Although you are in the city you can feel like you are alone in a big field in parts.
This is an absolutely stunning free city park on the north side of downtown Seattle and a must-see for plant lovers who like botanical gardens. The park was designed by Olmstead as part of his Seattle ring of parks (he designed over a dozen parks in the city as well as connecting boulevards) - but this is the crown jewel. Beautifully maintained with many rare specimens, mature flowering trees and lovely paths. Also has a a beautiful Japanese garden.

Stunning views of the islands and city in both directions and it's fun to walk around Bainbridge if you have an hour or two. The main fun is in the views on the ferry ride, though.

Stunning views of the islands and city in both directions and it's fun to walk around Bainbridge if you have an hour or two. The main fun is in the views on the ferry ride, though.
This is an incredible museum of Dale Chihuly's glass artwork and sculptures. If you are a Chihuly fan or like blown glass, it is an absolute must-see.
