Hiking

Various areas in the area to hike and see scenery!
Very rocky, quite steep in some places. Seems a lot longer than the distance stated because of the switchbacks and incline. Make sure you have plenty of time, food, and water. Also good nonslip shoes.

This is a must see for those who have never seen the giant Saguaros before. Saguaros are only in this small region and are 200-300 years old. Keep in mind the National Park has an Eastern and Western location. You can spend 5 minutes or 5 hours in the park. Bring your camera!

Shopping

High end outdoor mall
At the intersection of Sunrise and Campbell, the outdoor mall La Encantada has a couple solid dining options, including North Italian, Blanco, and Nektar. In the complex there is also AJs, an upscale grocery store with a great bakery and coffee, a made-to-order sushi bar, and a patio with a fireplace and burger grill. There is also some shopping in the complex. At the same intersection, however, there are a few other more refined dining choices that are definitely worth a mention if you want something more special. La Encantada is on the NW corner of the intersection. On the SW corner, is another complex with Tavolino (Italian) and Wild Garlic Grill (refined original cuisine, often French inspired…this place is legendary but not stuffy). Both of these are excellent. Just north of the NE corner is Vivace, another excellent Italian restaurant and another Tucson institution. On the SE corner is another little complex that has Fleming’s, a high end steak house.

Very close to the condo. Take Swan Rd north past 7-11 store to the top of Swan. The road will turn to the left and there is a cul de sac. There is no parking or stopping but if you drive by at sunset it’s a pretty view and after dark you can see the city lights twinkling. Fun to drive through but reminder no parking or stopping.
