The forest offers an array of activities for people of all ages with biking and walking trials crisscrossing the forest, play areas, open grassed areas ideal for picnics and games and treetop adventures at GoApe. Sherwood Pines is particularly popular with mountain bikers.

Sherwood Pines Cycles hire out bikes for every age and level of experience. Sherwood Pines has three cycles routes graded green, blue and red. The Family Trail is an all weather, 3 mile trail ideal for small children. The Adventure Trail is a 6 mile trail of natural and uneven surfaces which is ideal for intermediate riders. There is also the Kitchener Trail which is an 8 mile single track route with a mix of rocks and roots along the way and is a challenging ride at different times of year. Sherwood Pines also has a mountain bike park with a dirt jumps and a downhill zone.
