Wildlife Safari

Nanyuki has many parks and conservancies where you can see the big five and more.
This is one of my favourite parks in Kenya. Host to the last 2 remaining northern white rhinos, lots of lions, leopard (though hard to spot), giraffes, buffalo, chimpanzees (only place in Kenya you can find them. Conservation efforts by Jane Goodall) and many more wildlife and scenes. You can also feed Baraka the rhino here

The wildlife and scenic route to get there. You can cross from the Samburu park to Buffalo springs where you can swim in water that comes from an underground spring

Trekking

Mix in some gently exercise with breathtaking views during your trip
See where the Kenya’s freedom fighters used to hide and hold secret meetings. Carry your swim suit too for a regeneratively cold swim under the waterfall

Lovely trek to the waterfalls whose water comes from Mt. Kenya but gets filtered by the volcanic rocks to produce mineral rich aqua pools you can swim in.

You can do a day trip to the first camp from the Mt. Kenya gate or just drive up and enjoy the scenery. From Nanyuki town, you’ll drive like you’re going to Timau. Sunset here is breathtaking when the mountain is in clear view

Lovely food and service. Expert you made cocktails. Great ambiance plus it’s the only place that serves decent sushi in Nanyuki. It’s also conveniently located in town where you can walk from my cottage or take a 5-min drive

Delicious food in a restaurant that can either be casual or fine dining. I love their slow roasted pork belly with crackling yum yum! Service is great and they have a pool for and relaxing garden seating

Verkehrsmittel

Taxi services

There’s no Uber in Nanyuki so it’s best to make friends with a taxi driver and get his contact so you can call him when you need him
Verkehrsmittel

Supermarkets, ATMs, hospitals and other amenities

Nanyuki is very cosmopolitan and you can get whatever you need here. There are 2 malls with large supermarkets, shops, ATMs, banks, mobile network operators, pharmacies, liquor stores, restaurants, clubs etc. Everyone pretty much speaks English since the British army and many Brits live here.
