A man-made lake constructed in the early 70's, nestled in the Doethie Valley and surrounded by the beautiful Tywi Forest. The area is popular with road cyclists, mountain bikers and walkers and it is the ideal location for an afternoon picnic. Drive around the dam to the market town of Tregaron via Soar y Mynydd Chapel or, alternatively, drive to Abergwesyn via Devil's Staircase to the small town of Llanwrtyd, where the well known song "SosbanFfach' was composed.
