This is one of my favorite State parks in Arizona. It makes for the perfect day trip and the hike is moderate. Payson is a quaint town with charming restaurants and shops. The drive is one of my favorite parts, seeing the transition from the Sonoran Desert to Pine Trees is truly unique to Arizona!

The drive is one of my favorite parts, seeing the transition from the Sonoran Desert to Pine Trees is truly unique to Arizona!
