Hamilton Park is a small secluded neighborhood of about 50 homes built between 1920 and 1950 located just minutes from everything. Located off of Versailles Road which is the gateway to Lexington, it is just 7 minutes to the country or 7 minutes to downtown Lexington. Versailles Road is the ONLY major arterial of Lexington where commercial development has been banned beyond New Circle Road in order to protect its horse farms and its claim of Horse Capital of the World with Keeneland Race Course (less than 10 minutes even in traffic) and Calumet Farm being the focal points. When you land at Bluegrass Airport, you will be just minutes away from your destination. If the reason for your visit is Keeneland, it would behard to find anything more convenient. If you are in for business, you are just minutes from downtown. In for a ball game, Rupp Arena is 1.5 miles. Need a place near a hospital? Cardinall Hill is in walking distance. St Joes and UK are both within a 5 minute drive.

Just opened and less than 5 minutes from your doorstep is the Krikorian Theatre boasting the largest screen in Lexington. And if a movie is not what your looking for, the Krikorian has bowling, an arcade and two sports bars/restaurants. Located across from Rupp Arena.

It is a still-evolving eclectic collection of restaurants and nightspots located in the old James E Pepper distillery buildings that have been brought back to life. Goodfellas Pizza, Ethereal Brewing, Middle Fork Restaurant, Crank and Boom Ice Cream, Elkhorn Tavern, Rickhous Pub, Barrel House and The Break Room. If you are looking for music there is also the The Burl and Manchester Music Hall. Check out the distillery disctrict website for more.

Jefferson Street Entertainment District is another local favorite with several restaurants as well as the West Sixth Brewery and The Blue Stallion Brewing Company. The Goose is good if your looking for a patio and Smithtown Seafood (located in West 6th Brewing) is has some of the best catfish you will get.

Lexington might be the official Horse Capital of the World but Midway is the REAL Horse Capital. It's a short drive about 25 minutes via Old Frankfort Pike which is on the National Scenic Byways Register. Along the way you pass some of the WORLDS most famous Thoroughbred Farms. Take your time and enjoy the drive. Watch out for cyclers. On the way is Wallace Station, a corner market/restaurant that is worth the wait or while in Midway, their downtown which might be small is usually hopping. The Brown Barrel and The Goose and Gander will usually not disappoint.
