An awesome place for a hiking outing. Also the Ziegenhainer Gaststaette offers the absolute best Thueringer Kloesse in all of Thueringen. The restaurant is in its third generation in the same family and they offer game dishes as well as local specialties that you will not find anywhere else.

There are so many things to recommend about Erfurt, but a few of them would be the Augustiner Kloster, where Martin Luther was a monk. The Erfurter University, where Martin Luther first studied law, but then transferred to theology. There are many amazing restaurants in Erfurt and one of them even has a Michelin star.
