Beautiful location, amazing food and lovely service. Can’t recommend this place enough. My husband and I had our civil wedding meal here with our 6 best friends and had a wonderful evening. To save a place I recommend that you book beforehand.

I really love this area, almost feels like a village within the city. There are some lovely restaurants, bars and your typical local wine shops, bakery and butchers. Walking around here gives you a real feel of what Marseille is like.

FOR ALL PARENS WITH CHILDREN La plaine has a large playground (probably one of the biggest in central Marseille)
It’s also surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants. Very child friendly in the day and in the evening buzzing with people in all the bars and restaurants. Lots of people also just sit around the park area with picnics and drinks. Very relaxed atmosphere.

I can wonder around this shop for hours. They literally have everything from kitchen ware, clothing, toys, marseille soap to tools. And of course lots of little things that are perfect for gifts. The staff are extremely kind and always happy to help. Very much a must visit!

Beautiful architectural building, lovely to walk around and also has a lovely restaurant and bistro at the top with stunning views of the harbour.
The museum itself changes its exhibitions regularly and can be a little hit and miss. However the small areas (in the old part of the building) with the history of the building is interesting.
