Our favorite upscale restaurant, located in Lancaster, a short drive from Chieftain Cottage. Phenomenal food, and excellent service. We love the Charcuterie board and the grown up chicken tenders.

This amazing restaurant is managed and staffed by the instructors and students of the culinary arts program at Hocking College. The menu changes daily, and they have specialized hours. This restaurant is located inside a private gated community in the Hocking Hills. Reservations are required, the guard at the gate will check the guest list and give you a pass. The drive through Hideaway Hills is beautiful. The Lodge has its’ own microbrewery where they brew local seasonal beers. The food has always been good, and if you sit on the outside deck the views are breathtaking. The last time we ate on the deck we watched a family of deer playing nearby.

Turn right onto Chieftain Drive, 2.5 miles on the left. Kroger has a full service Starbucks, a liquor store will lots of local beer, wines, vodkas and moonshine. Our Kroger is large, clean and has full service floral, bakery and deli.

Located in Nelsonville, just a short drive from Chieftain Cottage. Check out their website, they often have themed rides, and recently had a dinner train! In winter the cars are kept warm and toasty with wood stoves. The views of the hills as you ride through the woods are breathtaking!
