If you're coming to Pinehurst, you've got to visit the Resort to see the history on display. Both the Carolina (the main resort hotel) and the golf clubhouse are full of golf memorabilia. Have a drink at the Duece while you're there and watch golfers coming off the 18th on Number 2.

Mike Stranz created this monster, said to be one of the most difficult in the country. Worth playing, but I wouldn't want a steady diet of it. Choose you tee box carefully.

Arguably the oldest Donald Ross course in Moore county, this course is undergoing a massive restoration by the owners of Mid Pines and Pine Needles. It will become a must play when it's completed. (Full disclosure, it's my home course)
