White sand and turquoise water, Wategos is a Byron Bay classic favourite. Get there early as parking is limited, but its worth the commitment. Ideal when a southerly wind is blowing, and often has a fun wave for beginner surfers.

The walk to the viewing platform is easy and short, a longer hike to the bottom is extremely rewarding as hikers can feel the power of the raging falls.
