A trip to lakeside will give you a idea of the vastness flathead lake. There are boat tours/dinner cruises that depart from Lakeside- Far west cruises. Daily boat rentals are also available there. A local favourite of ours is Tamarack brewery- food and beer are great!

City/town information
Whitefish Montana is a beautiful little town full of great shops and restaurants. My personal favorite restaurants are Ciao Mambo and Loula's although most restaurants are fabulous.

The city of Kalispell has pretty much everything you need for amenities, lots of restaurants, shopping, movie theatres etc. The closest grocery store to the cabin is Albertsons. Skihaus is great for sporting goods. Woodland park and Montana raceway are popular destinations as well there is generally events happening at the Flathead county fairgrounds.
